  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)

  • Pinch of salt

For the Filling:

  • 2 cooked chicken breasts (shredded or sliced thin)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for sautéing)

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional for flavor)

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (optional, for added creaminess)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

For the Bread:

  • 1 large French baguette or Italian loaf

  • Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Garlic Butter:
    In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, chili flakes, and salt. Set aside.

  • Cook the Chicken:
    Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika. Sauté in olive oil over medium heat until golden and cooked through. Shred or thinly slice the chicken.

  • Prepare the Bread:
    Slice the baguette in half lengthwise. Spread garlic butter generously on both inner sides of the bread.

  • Assemble the Sandwich:
    Layer the chicken evenly over the bottom half. Spread mayonnaise if using. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar generously on top.

  • Toast It:
    Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place sandwich (open-faced) on a baking sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes until cheese melts. Broil for 2–3 minutes for a golden top.
