Cinnamon Roll Muffins Recipe

These cinnamon roll muffins are a delightful twist on the classic cinnamon roll—soft, moist, and swirled with buttery cinnamon sugar. Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Cinnamon Swirl:

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (light or dark)

  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

Vanilla Glaze (Optional but delicious):

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tbsp milk

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease lightly.

  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Whisk the wet ingredients in another bowl: milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla.

  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. Don’t overmix.

  5. In a small bowl, stir together brown sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.

  6. Fill muffin cups halfway with batter. Add a spoonful of the cinnamon mixture and a drizzle of softened butter. Then top with remaining batter.

  7. Swirl gently with a knife or toothpick to marble the cinnamon mixture into the batter.

  8. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  9. Cool slightly on a rack.

  10. Mix glaze ingredients in a small bowl and drizzle over warm muffins.
