Ingredients
For the steak bites:
1 lb (450g) sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp paprika (optional)
For the garlic butter:
4 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
For the potatoes:
1 lb (450g) baby potatoes, halved or quartered
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
Prep the Ingredients:
Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika (optional).
Wash and halve or quarter the baby potatoes.
Cook the Potatoes:
Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the potatoes and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (optional).
Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. You can also roast them in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes for an extra crispy texture.
Sear the Steak Bites:
In another skillet, heat 2 tbsp of olive oil over medium-high heat.
Once hot, add the steak pieces in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Garlic Butter:
In the same skillet used for the steak, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, making sure not to burn the garlic.
Stir in the chopped parsley, rosemary or thyme (optional), and red pepper flakes (optional) for a little heat.
Combine and Serve:
Return the cooked steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce to coat evenly.
Add the crispy potatoes to the skillet and toss everything together. Garnish with additional parsley before serving.
