1. Garlic Bread
- 1 loaf of French bread
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt to taste
2. Caesar Salad
- 1 head romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Croutons
- Freshly ground black pepper
3. Caprese Salad
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- Balsamic glaze
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
4. Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
5. Tiramisu
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1/2 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 24 ladyfinger cookies
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt until well combined.
- Slice the French bread in half lengthwise and spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on both halves.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Slice and serve warm alongside the casserole.
2. Caesar Salad
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce and Caesar dressing. Toss to coat.
- Add croutons and grated Parmesan cheese, tossing gently to combine.
- Serve immediately with a sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper.
3. Caprese Salad
Instructions:
- On a serving platter, alternate layers of tomato slices, mozzarella slices, and fresh basil leaves.
- Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve fresh.
4. Chocolate Chip Cookies
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool on the baking sheets before transferring to wire racks.
5. Tiramisu
Instructions:
- In a shallow dish, combine the brewed coffee and coffee liqueur (if using).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy. Add the mascarpone cheese and mix until smooth.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold it into the mascarpone mixture.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture and layer them in a dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
