Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
- Open the can of cinnamon rolls, and set aside the icing packets.
- Cut each roll into four pieces and place them in a large bowl.
- Add the apple pie filling and chopped apples to the bowl, gently stir until cinnamon rolls are coated.
- Transfer the mixture into a 10-inch cast-iron skillet or another oven-safe dish, spreading it out evenly.
Baking
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until rolls are golden brown.
- If the rolls are browning too quickly, tent them with aluminum foil during the last 5 minutes.
Serving
- Let it cool for a moment, then serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
Notes
Time-saving Trick: Use pre-chopped apples from the grocery store to save time on prep! If rolls seem doughy in the center, bake a little longer. Try adding chopped pecans or walnuts for a nutty crunch!
