  • 8 oz bacon, cooked and crumbled Cook until crisp.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Use sharp cheddar for a stronger flavor.
  • 1 cup biscuit dough Room-temperature dough is easier to work with.
  • to taste salt and pepper Season the beef mixture.
Optional toppings
  • diced onions, pickles, and mustard For serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet until it sizzles and no pink remains; season with salt and pepper. Drain briefly.
  3. Stir the crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar into the beef while it’s hot so the cheese melts slightly. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  4. Roll out the biscuit dough on a floured surface and cut it into 8–10 circles.
Assembly
  1. Place a spoonful of the warm beef mixture in the center of each dough circle.
  2. Fold the dough over and pinch to seal tightly, ensuring no gaps.
  3. Arrange the bombs on the baking sheet. Brush lightly with melted butter if desired.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 15–20 minutes until the pastry puffs and edges turn golden brown.
  2. Let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
