Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or spray it with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sifted flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Whisk to break up any lumps.
Mixing
- In another large bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar until well blended. Add the eggs and stir in the vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely on a wire rack.
Pudding Preparation
- While the brownies cool, whisk together instant pudding mix and milk until thickened. Fold in the whipped cream.
Assembly
- Spread the pudding mixture over the cooled brownies.
- Top with crushed wafers, sliced bananas, and a dollop of whipped cream.
Chilling
- Refrigerate for a few hours before serving.
Notes
For a lighter brownie texture, don’t overmix the batter. You can add a tablespoon of Nutella for an extra chocolaty flavor.
