Preparation
- Divide the beef into two even patties; season with salt and pepper, and press slightly.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high, then add patties; cook until nicely browned and cooked through, about 3–4 minutes per side for medium.
- In another pan, crisp the bacon and set aside on paper towels; in the same skillet, add onions and cook until soft and golden, about 6–8 minutes.
- Whisk eggs, heavy cream, milk, garlic powder, salt and pepper until smooth.
Cooking
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg wash and cook in a buttered skillet until set and golden on both sides.
- Assemble by spreading Big Mac sauce if using, placing a beef patty on two French toast slices, adding cheese, bacon, and cooked onions, then topping with the other French toast slice.
- Press gently to set and serve hot. Optionally, deep fry briefly until crispy and golden.
Notes
Tips: Cook patties and bacon at the same time to save time. Avoid over-soaking bread to prevent sogginess. Variations include adding smoked paprika to the beef or swapping sauces.
