Ingredients

For the Steak
  • 1 lb Steak (sirloin or ribeye) Choose a nice 1-inch thick cut for best results.
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning Bold and smoky; adjust to taste.
  • 1 tbsp Kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp Freshly cracked pepper Freshly cracked if possible.
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter Use for cooking and basting steak.
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) Fresh garlic gives that extra flavor boost.
For the Pasta
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce Jarred or homemade, whichever you prefer.
  • 9 oz Cheese-filled tortellini Fresh or frozen work beautifully.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated) Grate it fresh for the best nutty finish.
  • 2 tbsp Parsley (for garnish) Brightens the dish and adds color.

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat the steak dry and season both sides generously with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat and melt a generous knob of butter.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and golden.
Cooking the Steak
  1. Add the steak to the skillet. Sear without moving for about 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  2. Spoon melted butter over the steak as it cooks to lock in flavor.
  3. Remove the steak and let it rest on a cutting board for a few minutes.
Cooking the Pasta
  1. While the steak rests, cook the tortellini according to package directions.
  2. Use the same skillet to add cooked tortellini and Alfredo sauce.
  3. Toss gently so every tortellini gets coated in that garlic-butter goodness.
Serving
  1. Slice the steak against the grain and arrange over the cheesy Alfredo tortellini.
  2. Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan and chopped parsley.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy the steam, cream, and spice together.

Notes

Cook the tortellini while the steak rests to have everything hot and ready together. If your sauce looks thin, simmer it a minute longer to thicken; add a bit more Parmesan if needed.
