Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound Kielbasa Sausage Can swap with Polish, beef, or turkey sausage — slice into bite-sized rounds.
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar Dark brown sugar deepens the flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Pineapple Juice or Apple Juice Adds bright acidity and shine.
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup Provides tanginess and depth.
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce Optional, look for gluten-free options.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard Optional, adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Enhances overall taste, or use fresh garlic for sharper bite.

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced kielbasa in a single layer and let it brown.
  2. While the sausage colors, whisk together brown sugar, pineapple (or apple) juice, ketchup, soy sauce, Dijon, and garlic powder in a bowl until glossy and pourable.
Cooking
  1. Push the kielbasa to the edge of the pan, pour the sauce into the center, and let it bubble gently.
  2. Stir occasionally, tossing the sausage in the syrup so every piece gets coated. After about 6–8 minutes, the glaze will cling like candy and the edges of the kielbasa will caramelize.
Finishing
  1. Turn off the heat and let the pan sit for a minute so the sauce sets. Spoon the sticky slices onto a platter and serve.

Notes

To save time, brown the kielbasa ahead and finish them in the glaze right before serving. For a thicker glaze, simmer longer; for a thinner one, add a splash more juice.
