Ingredients

For the crust
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs This will create a deliciously crunchy base.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Make sure it’s unsalted to control the flavor.
  • 1/4 cup sugar Just a hint of sweetness for the crust.
For the cheesecake filling
  • 4 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened The creaminess is what makes this dessert special.
  • 1 cup sugar Sweetening up that dreamy cheesecake layer!
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds depth to the flavor.
  • 4 large eggs This binds everything together beautifully.
  • 2 cups chopped apples Use sweet-tart varieties like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
  • 1 cup caramel sauce Store-bought or homemade—both work great.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon The warm spice that brings out those apple flavors.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix together graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar. Press this mixture into the bottom of your greased baking dish.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Fold in the chopped apples and ground cinnamon.
Baking
  1. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust and spread evenly.
  2. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top and use a knife to swirl the caramel into the cheesecake batter.
  3. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the center is set with a soft jiggle.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
  2. Enjoy chilled or at room temperature, drizzled with additional caramel if desired.

Notes

Prep your ingredients ahead of time for efficiency. If the bars puff while baking, they will settle as they cool. You can swap apples for pears or add nuts for crunch.
