Filling
  • 2 pieces Ripe bananas, with slight brown spotting These sweet gems offer the most flavor and aroma.
  • 1 cup Whipped cream, cold and stiff Homemade is best, but store-bought works too.
  • 1/2 cup Chopped nuts Go for your favorites like walnuts or pecans.
  • 1/2 cup Caramel sauce, warm Make it homemade for the best flavor.
  • to taste Chocolate sauce, optional A nice touch for chocolate lovers.
  • to taste Crushed cookies, optional Add your favorite crushed cookies for a delightful twist.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 175 degrees C, and warm the taco shells for 3 to 4 minutes until crisp but not burnt.
  2. Slice the bananas into lovely pieces and arrange them in a generous layer on the bottom of each warmed taco shell.
  3. Pipe or spoon the cold, stiff whipped cream over the banana layer.
  4. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the whipped cream.
  5. Drizzle warm caramel sauce in a zigzag motion over the nuts.
  6. If desired, add lines of chocolate sauce across the caramel and top with crushed cookies.
