  1. In a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan, add the granulated sugar over medium heat.
  2. Stir constantly and watch for the sugar to slowly turn an amber color.
  3. Once the sugar is fully melted, add the butter and whisk constantly until it melts and blends beautifully.
  4. If the mixture bubbles and froths, remove it from the heat for a moment while whisking.
  5. Cook for one more minute after fully combined to achieve the fragrant caramelization.
  6. Slowly drizzle in the heavy cream while stirring until everything is fully incorporated.
  7. Allow the mixture to simmer for another minute before removing from heat.
  8. Let it cool slightly as it thickens to the perfect pourable consistency.
