Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Cream them together until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, stirring in the vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually blend the dry ingredients into your creamed mixture.
- Stir in the dried cranberries, chopped nuts, orange zest, and orange juice.
Baking
- Using a rounded tablespoon, drop dollops of the cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake them for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are golden.
- Let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
Tip: If your cookies flatten out too much, try chilling the dough for about 30 minutes before baking. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon for a warm twist or swap pecans for slivered almonds for a nutty surprise.
