Method
Preparation
- Gather your chocolate chips, strawberries, and coconut oil.
- Rinse your strawberries under cool water and dry them thoroughly with a towel.
Melting Chocolate
- Place the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
Dipping
- Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate. Swirl it around for an even coating.
- Gently shake off any excess chocolate back into the bowl.
- Place the dipped strawberries on a sheet of parchment paper to cool.
Cooling
- Let them sit for about 10-15 minutes at room temperature or pop them in the fridge for quicker setting.
- While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle with crushed nuts or sprinkles for added flair.
Serving
- Once set, enjoy your strawberries.
- For an extra touch, melt some white chocolate and drizzle over the dark chocolate coating.
Notes
Store in the fridge for up to 3 days. Freezing is not recommended, as it affects the texture. You can reheat gently in the microwave to restore the chocolate's softness if needed.
