Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 12 oz chocolate chips (use Ghirardelli 60% Cacao bittersweet for the best melting) Use high-quality chocolate for maximum flavor
  • 2 lb strawberries (ensure they are completely dry to help the chocolate adhere properly) Dry strawberries = better chocolate coating
  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil For smoother melting

Method

Preparation
  1. Gather your chocolate chips, strawberries, and coconut oil.
  2. Rinse your strawberries under cool water and dry them thoroughly with a towel.
Melting Chocolate
  1. Place the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
Dipping
  1. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate. Swirl it around for an even coating.
  2. Gently shake off any excess chocolate back into the bowl.
  3. Place the dipped strawberries on a sheet of parchment paper to cool.
Cooling
  1. Let them sit for about 10-15 minutes at room temperature or pop them in the fridge for quicker setting.
  2. While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle with crushed nuts or sprinkles for added flair.
Serving
  1. Once set, enjoy your strawberries.
  2. For an extra touch, melt some white chocolate and drizzle over the dark chocolate coating.

Notes

Store in the fridge for up to 3 days. Freezing is not recommended, as it affects the texture. You can reheat gently in the microwave to restore the chocolate's softness if needed.
