Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 12 pieces Fresh strawberries Best flavor when fresh
  • 1 cup Chocolate (dark, milk, or white) Use high-quality chocolate for a richer taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash the strawberries. Give them a good rinse under cool water. Make sure they’re completely dry; this helps the chocolate stick.
  2. Melt the chocolate. Place your chosen chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, then microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler for a gentler melt.
  3. Dip the strawberries. Hold the strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate. Let any excess chocolate drip off – it’s okay to have a thick coat.
  4. Place on a tray. Arrange the dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined tray. Make sure they aren’t touching to avoid sticking.
  5. Set in the fridge. Pop the tray in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened completely. The chocolate should feel firm to the touch.
  6. Serve and Enjoy! Once set, indulge in your delicious Chocolate Covered Strawberries!

Notes

For a time-saver, use chocolate melts; they’re easier and quicker to work with. Avoid letting water touch your chocolate while melting. If this happens, add a small amount of vegetable oil to salvage it. You can drizzle contrasting chocolate on top for an eye-catching design.
