Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Unwrap the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and place them in a large bowl.
- Using a handheld mixer, mix the cakes until they crumble beautifully, creating a soft, dough-like texture.
- Add in the festive sprinkles and mix until combined.
- Scoop about a tablespoon of dough and roll it into a ball. Set them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat until all the dough is shaped into truffles.
Coating
- In a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, melt the white chocolate or candy melts until smooth and glossy.
- Dip each chilled cake ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated, then let the excess drip off.
- Place the coated truffles back on the parchment-lined sheet.
Decoration
- Melt the red candy melts in a piping or ziplock bag and drizzle over the coated truffles.
- Sprinkle the green sanding sugar over the drizzled chocolate for a festive look.
- Refrigerate the truffles for a few minutes to set before serving.
Notes
Store the truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. They can be frozen for about a month. Consider crumbling a few truffles on top of ice cream for a fun twist.
