- In a cozy bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Give it a quick whisk.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk and egg until well blended.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring gently, then fold in the diced apples.
Cooking
- In a deep pan, heat oil over medium heat to about 350°F.
- Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes, flipping to brown both sides evenly.
- Remove from oil and let them drain on paper towels.
Glazing
- In a bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until the glaze is smooth.
- Drizzle the sweet glaze over your warm fritters and serve immediately.
Notes
These fritters are best eaten fresh! Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in the oven or air fryer at 350°F.
