  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon For that cozy aroma.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk Whole milk makes this extra creamy.
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups oil For frying (vegetable or canola works great).
For the glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

Preparation
  1. In a cozy bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Give it a quick whisk.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk and egg until well blended.
  3. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring gently, then fold in the diced apples.
Cooking
  1. In a deep pan, heat oil over medium heat to about 350°F.
  2. Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes, flipping to brown both sides evenly.
  3. Remove from oil and let them drain on paper towels.
Glazing
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until the glaze is smooth.
  2. Drizzle the sweet glaze over your warm fritters and serve immediately.
