  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs These will provide the perfect texture!
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise Brings moisture and richness.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard Adds a lovely tang!
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped Herbs make all the difference in freshness.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice A splash of zest to brighten everything up.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season generously! We want well-balanced flavors.
  • 4 pieces Burger buns Soft and toasty is ideal!
  • to taste Lettuce, tomato, and onion for topping Classic toppings that add crunch and flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Finely chop the salmon into small pieces, almost like a delicate confetti of fish. It should have a nice pink hue.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chopped salmon, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir gently until everything is beautifully combined.
  3. With your hands, mold the mixture into burger-shaped patties.
Cooking
  1. Heat a splash of oil in a skillet over medium heat until the oil starts to shimmer.
  2. Gently place the patties into the skillet, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
Serving
  1. Place the salmon burgers onto your toasted buns and top with crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, and sliced onion.

Notes

Time-saving trick: Prep the salmon mixture ahead of time and refrigerate. If patties are falling apart, add more breadcrumbs. Consider substituting fresh herbs with capers for a briny twist.
