Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Grease or line a mini muffin tin.
  3. In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Gently unroll the crescent roll dough and cut each triangle in half.
  5. Firmly press each triangle half into the muffin cups.
  6. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture into each dough cup, followed by another teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
  7. If desired, sprinkle some chopped pecans or orange zest on top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the oven for 11-13 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

You can prepare the cream cheese mixture a day ahead. Store it in the fridge until ready to assemble the bites. Don't overfill the cups — a little goes a long way with these flavors.
