  • 8 slices thick-cut bacon 2–3 slices of bacon per person, for perfect crispy bites.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour A light coating helps with the texture.
  • 1 sheet parchment paper Essential for easy cleanup and crispy edges.
  • 1 sheet beeswax wrap Alternatively, use another sheet of parchment.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pour some flour into a shallow bowl.
  2. Lightly dredge each slice of bacon in the flour, ensuring both sides are coated. Shake off excess flour.
  3. Lay the floured bacon on a parchment-lined baking sheet, using parchment paper between layers if necessary.
  4. Cover the bacon with beeswax wrap or another piece of parchment and refrigerate overnight.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the chilled bacon on a fresh parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes.
  3. Flip the bacon and continue baking for another 5–7 minutes until golden and crispy.
  4. Transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb extra grease and serve warm.

Notes

For storage, keep cooked bacon in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for 2–3 months. Add seasoning to the flour for extra flavor.
