  • 4 pieces thick (1-inch) pork chops
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar, packed Use dark brown sugar for a deeper molasses flavor.
  • 4 tablespoons butter Unsalted butter for better salt control.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and lightly oil a large baking pan. Place the pan in the oven for a few minutes to warm it.
  2. Lay the pork chops in the pan in a single layer. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
Assembling
  1. Sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of brown sugar over each chop.
  2. Top each chop with about 1 tablespoon of butter.
  3. Drizzle the soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce over the chops.
Baking
  1. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
Serving
  1. Rest the chops for 3–5 minutes before serving. Slice and enjoy the tender, juicy meat with the sweet-savory glaze.

Notes

Tips: Save time by preparing the chops a day in advance. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For freezing, use a sealed container for up to 2 months.
