Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter over medium heat, stirring occasionally until golden brown.
- In a large bowl, toss together sliced peaches with 1/2 cup granulated sugar and vanilla extract.
- Pour browned butter over the peach mixture and gently stir to combine, then pour into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Cobbler Assembly
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk and 1/4 cup melted butter to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Spoon the batter over the peach mixture, spreading it evenly.
Baking
- Bake for 35-45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the peach juices are bubbling.
Serving
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
