Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your favorite cake pan.

- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into your prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
Baking
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes, until golden color and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
If short on time, soften butter in the microwave, but don't melt it. For a unique flavor, add chocolate chips, nuts, or lemon zest to the batter.
