Preparation
- Start by sprinkling salt, pepper, and garlic powder over the chicken thighs. Let them sit for a moment; this will help the flavors seep in.
- Heat a large pan over medium-high heat. When the pan is hot, carefully place the chicken thighs in. Sear them on both sides until they’re golden and cooked through.
- Once the chicken is cooked, drain any leftover oil in the pan, but leave about 2 tablespoons for flavor.
- Arrange the chicken skin-side up back in the pan and toss in the crushed garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the honey, water or broth, rice wine vinegar, and soy sauce. Turn up the heat a bit and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce reduces and thickens.
- Sprinkle fresh parsley on top and serve over vegetables, rice, pasta, or alongside a fresh salad.
Notes
Time-Saving Trick: Marinate the chicken thighs for 30 minutes before cooking for extra flavor. If overcooked, spoon sauce over the chicken to retain moisture. For flavor variations, add a splash of orange juice or chili flakes for a kick.
