Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the peaches: If using canned peaches, open the can and pour them in without draining. For fresh or frozen peaches, sprinkle them with 1/2 cup of sugar and let sit for about 30 minutes.
- Melt the butter: In a 9x13-inch baking dish, place the butter and put it in the oven until melted.
Making the Cobbler
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter without stirring. Spoon peaches and their juices evenly over the batter.
- Sprinkle ground cinnamon and 1 tablespoon of sugar on top.
BAKE
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until the top is golden and the edges are bubbling.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For best results, serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Reheat slices in the oven for the best texture.
