Preparation
- Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until evenly mixed.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture gently. Be careful not to overmix.
- Mix in the chocolate chips until just distributed.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan. If you’d like, sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top for an extra touch.
Baking
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 55–65 minutes. It’s done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool the bread in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and enjoy while warm—a perfect treat!
Notes
Use overripe bananas for better flavor. Avoid overmixing to keep the bread light and fluffy.
