Preparation
- Cut the fresh strawberries into bite-sized pieces, ensuring they are clean and dry.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave on half power for 30 seconds at a time, stirring often until the chocolate is smooth.
- Insert a toothpick into each strawberry piece. Dip each piece into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Place the chocolate-covered strawberries on a parchment-covered cookie sheet.
- Transfer the tray to the freezer for at least one hour or until the chocolate is hard.
- Once hardened, place the chocolate-covered strawberry bites in a freezer bag, ensuring they are well-sealed to prevent freezer burn.
Notes
Choose high-quality chocolate, keep strawberries dry for better adherence, and feel free to adjust sweetness by mixing chocolate types. These bites can be made ahead and stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.
