Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350˚F.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the melted butter and granulated sugar together.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
- Gradually add in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder, mixing until just combined.
- Line a 9x13 pan with parchment paper and spread the brownie batter evenly in the pan.
Baking
- Bake for 30–40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the brownies bake, prepare the frosting.
Frosting Preparation
- In a bowl, mix the softened butter, cocoa powder, honey, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually sift in the powdered sugar and add milk slowly until you achieve a luscious, spreadable consistency.
- Frost the brownies while they’re still warm.
Serving
- Allow them to cool completely before slicing.
- For an extra touch, refrigerate overnight for an extra gooey treat.
Notes
If you're in a hurry, use a microwave to melt the butter. If your brownies feel too cakey, avoid overmixing once you add the flour. For added texture, consider adding nuts or chocolate chips into the batter.
