Frosting

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350˚F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the melted butter and granulated sugar together.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Gradually add in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder, mixing until just combined.
  5. Line a 9x13 pan with parchment paper and spread the brownie batter evenly in the pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30–40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. While the brownies bake, prepare the frosting.
Frosting Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the softened butter, cocoa powder, honey, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Gradually sift in the powdered sugar and add milk slowly until you achieve a luscious, spreadable consistency.
  3. Frost the brownies while they’re still warm.
Serving
  1. Allow them to cool completely before slicing.
  2. For an extra touch, refrigerate overnight for an extra gooey treat.

Notes

If you're in a hurry, use a microwave to melt the butter. If your brownies feel too cakey, avoid overmixing once you add the flour. For added texture, consider adding nuts or chocolate chips into the batter.
