Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef Browned beef forms the hearty filling.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella) Cheddar gives a sharper bite; mozzarella makes it gooey.
  • 1/4 cup garlic butter Fresh garlic enhances the flavor.
  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough Room temperature dough seals easier.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Use fresh Parmesan for best results.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Use unsalted butter for better control over salt.
  • Optional: chopped parsley For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper, then drain any excess fat.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface, and cut it into 3-inch squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of cooked ground beef and a little shredded cheese onto each square.
  5. Drizzle each mound with a bit of garlic butter, fold the dough over, and pinch the edges to seal tightly.
  6. Place the bombs seam-side down on a lined baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops with additional garlic butter and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For a quicker assembly, brown the beef and mix with cheese ahead of time. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
