Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Stir until smooth and glossy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between them.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
- Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
These cookies taste even better the next day. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for up to three months. Use a microwave to melt the butter for quicker prep if desired.
