Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Stir until smooth and glossy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between them.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
  2. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

These cookies taste even better the next day. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for up to three months. Use a microwave to melt the butter for quicker prep if desired.
