Ingredients

Cupcake Base
  • 1 box Vanilla cake mix Choose a light texture for the best results.
  • 12 oz Grape Crush soda Provides moisture and signature flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable oil Keeps the cupcakes moist and tender.
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar Balances the grape flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Purple grape jelly Adds an extra burst of grape flavor.
  • 2 large Eggs For binding and moisture.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Enhances the overall flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the vanilla cake mix, Grape Crush soda, vegetable oil, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and free of lumps.
  3. Gently fold in the purple grape jelly to ensure it gets evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  4. Pour the batter into the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
  5. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  6. Once baked, cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Frost with your favorite frosting or enjoy plain.

Notes

Don't overmix the batter to avoid dense cupcakes. Store any leftovers in an airtight container; they last up to 3 days in the fridge.
