Method
Cooking the Beef
- Begin by placing ground beef in a large pan or cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
- Break up the ground beef using a wooden spoon, cooking until it's beautifully browned.
Adding Onions & Garlic
- Once the beef is browned, push it to one side of the pan.
- Toss in the chopped onions and minced garlic, stirring until fragrant.
Making the Sauce
- Pour in the diced tomatoes along with the spices and bring to a boil.
- Let it simmer for about 5 minutes on medium-high heat.
Cooking the Cabbage
- Add the chopped cabbage to the pot, stir, and cover with a lid.
- Allow the cabbage to steam for about 10-15 minutes until tender.
Serving
- Adjust seasoning one last time and serve hot from the skillet.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, add a splash of water to keep it moist. Consider using leftover in wraps or sandwiches.
