Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 bag frozen corn kernels One bag is typically around 16 ounces.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Unsalted butter works well for better control over salt.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Runny, mild-flavor honey is best.
  • 2 ounces cream cheese Cut into small cubes; room temperature helps it melt faster.
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high until hot but not smoking.
  2. Add the butter and honey. Stir until melted and glossy.
  3. Add the frozen corn in an even layer and let sit for one minute.
  4. Stir every minute for 5 to 8 minutes until corn is slightly golden.
  5. Reduce heat slightly, scatter cream cheese over corn, then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  6. Continue cooking for 3 to 5 more minutes, stirring gently until sauce thickens.
  7. Taste and adjust salt if needed. Serve warm.

Notes

For faster cooking, use slightly thawed corn. Avoid crowding the pan for better browning.
