Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 each pre-made pizza crust
  • 1 cup cooked macaroni Use leftovers for a quicker assembly.
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Sharp cheddar recommended for more flavor.
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated Extra for nuttiness if desired.
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter Unsalted preferred for better control over salt.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Go light on salt as cheese can be salty.
  • Optional toppings (bacon, breadcrumbs, etc.) Add for extra texture.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven according to the pizza crust instructions.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium pot over low heat; add the cooked macaroni and stir to coat.
  3. Add cheddar, mozzarella, Parmesan, and milk; stir constantly until the cheeses melt and sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Spread the macaroni and cheese evenly over the pre-made crust.
Baking
  1. Bake according to the crust package directions, until cheese bubbles and edges are golden brown.
  2. Let rest for a few minutes, then add any optional toppings.

Notes

Don’t overload the crust; if saucy, par-bake crust for 4-5 minutes first to prevent sogginess. For more flavor, try adding a pinch of smoked paprika or chopped chives.
