Cooking the Mixture
- In a hot skillet, cook the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper for about 5 minutes until browned.
- Drain any excess fat, then add in the crumbled bacon and drizzle the maple syrup over the mixture.
- Stir gently until everything is beautifully coated.
Assembling the Quesadillas
- Lay tortillas flat and sprinkle cheese on half of each, followed by a layer of the beef and bacon mixture, then top with more cheese.
- Fold the tortillas over and pinch the edges.
Cooking the Quesadillas
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and place the quesadillas in the pan.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden-brown.
- Let them rest for 1-2 minutes before slicing into wedges.
Notes
You can prepare the beef and bacon mixture ahead of time. For a spicy kick, swap out cheddar for pepper jack. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
