Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with tin foil and grease it well.
- Spread the graham crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Making the Mixture
- In a pot, combine the butter, brown sugar, salt, and chopped pecans. Heat over medium until boiling, stirring occasionally for about 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract carefully.
Baking
- Pour the mixture over the graham crackers and ensure all pieces are covered.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool to room temperature before breaking into pieces to serve.
Notes
Make it ahead for better flavor. If overcooked, add a splash of water in a pan over low heat to soften. For a variation, add cinnamon or chocolate chips.
