Method
Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Stir gently.
- In another bowl, whisk together the warmed milk, melted butter, and eggs.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Knead the dough until it transforms from sticky to smooth, then let it rise in a warm spot for about an hour, or until doubled in size.
Shaping
- Roll out the risen dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread raspberry jam generously over the dough.
- Roll the dough up tightly from one end to the other and twist the loaf gently.
- Place it in a greased loaf pan and let it rise for 30-45 minutes.
Baking
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the loaf for 30-35 minutes until it turns a lovely golden shade.
- Allow the loaf to cool before slicing.
Notes
You can prepare the dough the night before and refrigerate it. Let it come to room temperature before rolling it out in the morning. If the dough seems too sticky, add a bit more flour, but it should remain soft and pliable. Try substituting the raspberry jam with strawberry or blueberry jam for a delightful twist.
