Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
Cooking
- In a medium pot over low heat, combine the sausage crumbles and cream cheese. Stir occasionally until hot and bubbly.
- Unroll one package of crescent roll dough and press it firmly into the bottom of your prepared baking dish, pinching the seams together.
- Spread the sausage and cream cheese mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Unroll the second package of crescent roll dough and lay it over the sausage mixture, pinching the seams together.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 14-16 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool for a few moments, slice into squares, and serve warm.
Notes
For added flavor, consider tossing in sautéed bell peppers or spinach. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
