Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 canned buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage Choose your favorite; spicy or mild!
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese For that melty, gooey surprise

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the breakfast sausage and break it into crumbles. Cook until browned and drain any excess grease.
  3. Prepare the Biscuits: Flatten each biscuit gently with your hands or a rolling pin.
  4. Add the Fillings: Scoop about a tablespoon of cooked sausage into the center of each biscuit, followed by a sprinkle of cheddar cheese.
  5. Seal: Bring the edges of the dough up around the fillings and pinch to seal completely.
  6. Bake: Place the sealed biscuits seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Cool & Enjoy: Let the biscuits cool slightly before serving.

Notes

If short on time, use pre-cooked sausage. To prevent leaking, pinch the biscuits well. Add hot sauce or green onions for extra flavor.
