Preparation
- Set cream cheese on the counter to soften.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with the sweetened condensed milk until smooth and glossy.
- Whisk French Vanilla pudding mix into 2 cups milk until it thickens, then stir it into the cream cheese mixture until smooth.
- Slice the bananas and strawberries.
Assembly
- In a large serving dish, arrange a layer of vanilla wafers.
- Add a generous layer of sliced bananas and strawberries.
- Pour half of the pudding mixture over the fruit and wafers.
- Repeat the layers with remaining wafers, bananas, and strawberries, then finish with the rest of the pudding mixture.
- Spread whipped topping over the final layer.
Chilling
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
- Serve chilled.
Notes
Prepare the pudding mix and fruit the night before for easier assembly. Toss banana slices in lemon juice to keep them from browning. For a flavor twist, fold in chopped macadamias or toasted almonds.
