Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Lay a sheet of parchment paper onto a rimmed baking sheet and set aside.
- Rinse strawberries, remove stems, and slice them into thin pieces.
- Lay out strawberry slices in a rectangle on the prepared baking sheet.
Melting Peanut Butter
- In a medium bowl, microwave the peanut butter for 20 seconds, then stir.
- Microwave again for another 20 seconds until melted and runny.
Assembling the Bark
- Pour the melted peanut butter over the strawberry slices, spreading it evenly.
- Place the baking sheet in the freezer for approximately 20 minutes to set the peanut butter.
Melting Chocolate
- In another microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Remove the baking sheet from the freezer and pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer, spreading it out evenly.
- If desired, sprinkle salt flakes on top for extra flavor.
Setting and Serving
- Return the baking sheet to the freezer for about 1 hour, allowing the bark to fully set.
- Once set, use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to cut the bark into desired sizes.
- Lift pieces with a spatula and store in small bags, then place in a larger freezer bag for storage.
Notes
Ensure the bark is fully chilled to avoid a messy break when cutting. You can customize the recipe by adding nuts or swapping chocolate types.
