Ingredients
  

Pastry Dough
  • 1 cup Water Essential for creating steam for the pastry.
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter Recommended to use high-quality butter for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour Do not substitute with cake flour.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt For flavor enhancement.
  • 4 large Eggs Should be at room temperature.
Whipped Cream Filling
  • 1 cup Heavy cream Full-fat version recommended for richness.
  • 1/4 cup Powdered sugar Adds sweetness to the cream.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract For additional flavor.
Fresh Strawberries
  • 2 cups Fresh strawberries Use ripe, juicy strawberries for best flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup of unsalted butter; bring to a boil over high heat.
  3. Quickly stir in 1 cup of all-purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon of salt until the dough forms a ball.
  4. Remove from heat and let the dough cool slightly, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add 4 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until smooth and glossy.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them apart.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the puffs rise and are golden brown.
Filling
  1. In a bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream with 1/4 cup of powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  2. Cut the tops off the cooled puffs and spoon the whipped cream inside each one.
  3. Top with sliced fresh strawberries, replace the tops, and serve immediately.

Notes

For the best texture, allow the dough to cool slightly before adding eggs. Using a pastry bag for filling can enhance presentation.
