Preparation
- Start by placing the Rice Chex cereal into a large mixing bowl. Make sure it’s nice and dry.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until melted and smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract into the melted mixture.
- Pour the melted mixture over the cereal and gently fold everything together.
- In a zip-top bag, combine the powdered sugar, strawberry gelatin powder, and strawberry cake mix. Shake to mix.
- Add the coated cereal to the dry mixture, seal the bag, and shake until coated.
- Spread everything onto parchment paper and let it cool for 20-30 minutes.
- If desired, sprinkle crushed freeze-dried strawberries over the top. Break apart and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftover Puppy Chow in an airtight container at room temperature. It can also be frozen in a zip-top bag for up to a month.
