Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Heat the crust if directed on the package.
- Brown the beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until no pink remains.
- Add taco seasoning and a splash of water to the beef, stir, and simmer until thickened, about 2–3 minutes.
- Warm the refried beans so they spread easily.
Assembly and Cooking
- Spread the refried beans over the crust.
- Spoon on the seasoned beef, scatter pico, and top with cheese.
- Bake the pizza until cheese bubbles and edges turn golden, about 10–12 minutes.
- Remove from oven and add shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, green onions, and dollops of sour cream.
- Slice and serve while still warm.
Notes
Use a thin layer of beans and a spoonful of salsa to avoid soggy crust. Leftover pizza can be turned into a quick lunch wrap. Brown beef ahead of time for easy assembly.
