Preparation
- Divide the 7 cups Chex cereal into two separate bowls.
- Microwave the pink candy melts with 1 tsp vegetable oil in 30-second bursts, stirring between, until silky and smooth.
- Pour the pink melt over one bowl of Chex and gently fold with a spatula until every piece is coated.
- Place the coated cereal into a zip-top bag, add 1/2 cup powdered sugar, seal, and shake until dusted.
- Dump onto a wax paper-lined baking sheet and spread out.
- Repeat the melting, pouring, folding, and sugar-shaking with the red candy melts and the remaining Chex.
- Let both colors set for about 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Fold in the Valentine’s Day M&Ms and sprinkles.
- Taste one to check texture.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 5-7 days. Freeze in a sealed bag for up to 1 month; thaw before serving. If it softens, spread on a baking sheet and air-dry at room temp for 30 minutes.
