- Begin by steeping your green tea bag in hot water according to the instructions on the packaging. After steeping, remove the tea bag and let the tea cool down a bit.
- If you’re using matcha powder, whisk it in hot water until evenly mixed.
- Add the cooled green tea (or prepared matcha) along with the remaining ingredients to a high-speed blender.
- Blend thoroughly until the mixture is smooth. Taste the smoothie and adjust flavors if necessary by adding more maple syrup for sweetness or a splash more lemon juice for brightness.
- If you find the consistency is too thin, toss in a few more ice cubes and blend again.
