Preparation
- Preheat the oven according to the dough package instructions.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the flaky dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into thin strips, about 1/2 inch wide.
- Wrap each cocktail sausage in a strip of dough, tucking the ends underneath.
Baking
- Place the wrapped sausages on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them an inch or two apart.
- Brush with egg wash if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown and crispy, usually 12-18 minutes.
Serving
- Serve warm with decorative garnishes and dipping sauces on the side.
Notes
If you want a flavor twist, add a sprinkle of smoked paprika or a thin strip of cheddar before wrapping. Store cooled pastries in an airtight container for up to 3 days; reheat in a 350°F oven.
